Rockledge Council Continues Charity Support via Remote Bingo
Knights of Columbus Council 6125 Bingo had a twelve-year tradition of weekly bingo games to provide entertainment for almost 100 players and raise funds for our council charities that was disrupted by last year’s pandemic lockdown. While waiting for the appropriate circumstances to reopen our doors for traditional bingo sessions, the Council 6125 bingo team in Rockledge developed a means to conduct bingo games remotely by which players register and purchase game cards via our www.6125bingo.org website, receive their video-conference call link and game materials via Email (within a day after order) and print out the game cards several days before the game. On game night, each participant logs into a video-conference call using the provided session link for the actual game play, including the active players and Knights staff for that session.
The Rockledge Knights interim “new normal” involves remotely playing bingo, and we have tried to create a comfortable, safe, and familiar experience for Knights staff and our avid players. Ordering is easy via our bingo website, www.6125bingo.org, and players can choose to play alone, or with family/friends, at home. Payouts of winnings are via PayPal or electronic checks issued after each week’s game.
We now have regular players from around the country and we hope that you will join us as we continue to innovate ways to safely enable playing bingo for benefit to our state and council charities. Please join us to play, or just to experience our “remote bingo”!
